Rebecca Dunlop Counselling Services
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in private practice, holding a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I provide counselling services to youth (ages 13+) and adults across British Columbia through secure virtual and telephone sessions, making support accessible no matter where clients live.
I specialize in helping clients navigate relational trauma, social anxiety, chronic loneliness, depression, anxiety, and interpersonal challenges. Many people feel stuck in patterns of disconnection, whether in their relationships, their self-worth, or their ability to feel safe with others. Together, we explore the deeper roots of these patterns, often connected to early attachment wounds, invalidation, or unresolved trauma.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, integrating emotional and somatic awareness. I support clients in identifying triggers, understanding how the nervous system responds to stress, and learning strategies to regulate those responses with confidence and self-compassion.
My work integrates:
-
Somatic approaches to reconnect body and emotions
-
Awareness of trauma responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn)
-
Tools for managing triggers and building nervous system safety
-
Relational repair through boundary work and self-trust
-
Support for social anxiety, loneliness, and interpersonal challenges
I also bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy, informed by my background in sociology and extensive experience supporting individuals navigating identity, belonging, and communication in cross-cultural settings.
I maintain a limited number of flexible-fee spaces to help make counselling accessible and accept coverage through most insurance providers, as well as some government and nonprofit programs. My goal is to complement the work of local physicians and healthcare providers by offering ongoing therapeutic support to help clients sustain wellbeing between appointments.

I look forward to supporting residents across British Columbia in building resilience, connection, and emotional wellbeing.
