Changing Seasons Counselling Services

Clients have described Anne as a supportive, encouraging, non-threatening and kind professional with a gift for creating authentic connections.  There are many ways we can work together to begin building a life which is meaningful for you, find your passions and realize your potential.  We will look at thoughts, emotions and behaviour without judgment and explore new ways of being in the world.  Therapy approaches utilized include Adlerian psychology, Brief Solution-Focused therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Use of Self, Family Systems theory, mind-Body approaches, EMDR.....whichever approach or combination of approaches are best for you.  In the words of Irvin Yalom, "The therapist must strive to create a new therapy for each patient."  This is the ideal to which Anne aspires. You are unique...and really are the best expert on yourself.

Anne offers counselling for a variety of issues including managing mood disorders, trauma, grief & loss (including pet loss), relationship matters including improved communication, dealing with infidelity & rebuilding or sometimes separation or divorce.  Parenting & co-parenting, self-esteem building, work transitions, adolescent issues (16+), and at the other end of the life spectrum, Anne enjoys working with older adults and their adult family members as they negotiate life transitions and role reversal.

Anne has many years experience facilitating groups for persons negotiating separation and divorce.  Currently, she is interested in offering a group for managing anxiety with textile therapies, such as needle felting, sewing, and so on.  Additionally, a support group for persons who have lost a beloved pet is planned for the future.
