Dr. Endre Sinkovics, or Dr. Dre for short, graduated from the University of British Columbia. He is originally from Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Dre is passionate about his profession and eager to make a difference in people’s lives. He would often hear that patients appreciate his kind and caring approach to dental care. He believes in finding the root cause of a problem and educating the patients while also providing gentle treatment for their concerns. Before dental school at UBC, Dr. Dre completed an Honours degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry with a Minor in Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. During dental school at UBC, he was selected to participate in an implant elective course, which established his early interest in this field of dentistry. When not at the office, he enjoys his hobbies which include sports and playing music. This mobile program provides equipment for injection drug use and crack cocaine use, as well as condoms and other safer-sex items for the entire Lower Sunshine Coast including Egmont, Port Melon, Gibsons, Sechelt, and Medeira Park. We provide free, confidential and non-judgmental harm reduction services, with a particular focus on injection drug users and people who use crack cocaine, to reduce the spread of HIV and other communicable diseases such as Hepatitis. We offer needle exchange services to promote safe recovery and disposal of used needles. We provide education and facilitate access to testing and treatment for communicable diseases as well as referrals to counseling services. The TIDES Program integrates virtual service with in-person care to meet the needs of clients across all communities. The TIDES Rehab Team is based at Sechelt Hospital, but provides service to residents across Vancouver Coastal Health’s rural and remote communities including: Sunshine Coast, Powell River, Sea-to-Sky Corridor The program provides short-term rehabilitation and consultation services for clients living with: stroke, TIA, acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, non-sports related concussion, and progressive neurological disorders.
