Social Worker - Better at Home
Social Worker (SW) provides counselling, support, advocacy, and links to practical resources to clients and their family and friends, caregivers, health-care professionals, and associated professional groups and agencies. SW is the point person in the local community health system for concerns related to adult neglect and abuse. Other services include, but are not limited to, discharge planning, transitions to and from health-care facilities, home visits and assessments, mediation, caregiver support, and consultation.more info

Spithoff, Dr. Daren
Family doctor serving Gibsons. Dr. Daren Spithoff graduated from McMaster Medical School in 2007 and completed his Family Medicine and GP-Anesthesia training through the University of British Columbia in 2010. He has been with the Gibsons Medical Clinic since 2010 and practices full-service family medicine, as well as GP-Anesthesia work at Sechelt Hospital. St. Bartholomew's Church Food Bank
Supported by local businesses, the food bank provides a food hamper on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Also offers other basic necessities such as toiletries, pet food, and underwear. We have been feeding up to 100 people a month.more info
St. Mary's Hospital Foundation
St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation raises funds for critical equipment and special projects to enhance patient care at the hospital. Donors to the Foundation have made major contributions to the acquisition of the hospital’s CT Scanner, the purchase of equipment and furnishings for the single patient rooms in the new hospital tower that opened in March 2013, and much more.
