The Ruby Slipper Fund's mission is to provide support to people on the Sunshine Coast who have been affected by cancer. This includes those who are currently living with cancer or have previously had cancer (at all points of the cancer experience). We are also dedicated to supporting family and caregivers of those diagnosed with cancer as we know how much it can affect everyone. more info

Linda is a qualified practitioner of advanced foot care. She is also an approved DVA provider. She provides mobile and home visit services for the Sunshine Coast. Assessments and foot care include soak, assessment, nail and corn and callous care, moisturizing and a foot massage as well as health care teaching. Most of my clients are home-bound and have medical conditions such as diabetes and anti-coagulation therapy.more info

Run to Quit pairs the quitting expertise of the Canadian Cancer Society with Running Room’s learn to walk or run 5km clinics. The program greatly increases a person’s chances of quitting smoking while raising their physical activity level.more info

Sechelt Hospital provides a full range of services to the community, including: emergency care and trauma services, renal program – community dialysis units, psychiatric in patient and crisis response (mental health and addiction services), regional laboratory medicine, diagnostic imaging services such as computed tomography (ct scanner), fluoroscopy, ultrasound, mammography and general radiology (x-ray), rehabilitation services – such as physiotherapy, pharmacy, birthing for low-risk pregnancies, some surgery, and delivery of chemotherapy for cancer patients.more info
