Ruby Slipper Fund - Cancer Support Group
The Ruby Slipper Fund's mission is to provide support to people on the Sunshine Coast who have been affected by cancer. This includes those who are currently living with cancer or have previously had cancer (at all points of the cancer experience). We are also dedicated to supporting family and caregivers of those diagnosed with cancer as we know how much it can affect everyone. more info
St. Bartholomew's Church Food Bank
Supported by local businesses, the food bank provides a food hamper on the 3rd Wednesday of each month between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Also offers other basic necessities such as toiletries, pet food, and underwear. We have been feeding up to 100 people a month.more info
Sunshine Coast Association for Community Living
Is a non-profit society, registered under the Societies Act of British Columbia. As an agency with charitable status, we seek to provide effective, efficient and responsive service to the persons we support. People with developmental disabilities and their families living on the lower Sunshine Coast (Langdale to Egmont) have turned to the SCACL for advocacy and service since its incorporation in 1958.more info
Sunshine Coast Community Services Society
Provides programs for pregnant and new moms, new parents, children, youth, families, adults, and seniors. Also offers community support services such as a thrift shop and food bank. Main office hours are 9 am to 12 noon and 12:30 pm to 4 pm Monday to Friday.more info
Sunshine Coast Food Bank
Volunteers gather, store, and distribute food to community members on a weekly basis. Distribution hours are 10 am to 5:30 pm on Wednesdays. Donations can be dropped off from 9 am to 4 pm Tuesdays and Fridays.more info
Sunshine Coast Hospice Society
The mission of the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society, a community-based, non-profit organization, is to provide support and advocacy and respect the dignity of those in our Coast community who are coping with grief, bereavement and their end-of-life.more info

Women's Outreach Service
Works to increase the safety and well-being of women who have been abused or are at risk for abuse, and their children. Provides outreach services, including advocacy, life skills support, assistance navigating the legal system, and information and referral.more info
Yew Transition House
Provides emergency housing, information and referral, outreach, support, and advocacy for abused women, with or without children, who have been sexually assaulted. Transgender women are welcome. ID is not required. Accepts male children on a case-by-case basis. Also provides public education and a resource library. Available 24 hours a day for crisis calls and shelter. Wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Housing.more info
