Supports families with children from birth to three years old who are at risk for developmental delay or have a diagnosed disability. Works with families to develop skills that encourage their child's development, to connect with a variety of services, and access a full range of social, educational, and community experiences. Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence. Helps children and youth understand their emotions, discuss their trauma, develop a safety plan, recognize their strengths, increase their self-confidence, and understand that they are not responsible for the violence. Also provides individual and group support for the non-offending parent and caregivers. Serves the Sunshine Coast. Program hours vary. Counselling is available to children and youth (ages 3-18) who have experienced sexual abuse and/or have sexual behavior problems. This includes children under the age of 12 with sexually intrusive behavior's. Service includes a range of appropriate and timely assessment, treatment and consultation to both children and their families.
