Family doctor serving Gibsons. Dr. Paul Murphy graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School, UK in 1994. He travelled and worked full time in hospital positions in Liverpool, Brisbane, Glasgow, Dublin, the Channel Islands, Perth and Canada. In 2000, he completed a Master of Science Degree in Sports Medicine at Trinity College Dublin, where he also met his wife. In 2003, he attained Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners. In 2008, he was conferred as a Member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine, Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland. Paul works as a GP with an interest in Musculoskeletal Medicine and Emergency Medicine, with current commitments at Gibsons Medical Clinic and at Sechelt Hospital. Paul has 2 children (one of whom is Canadian). He enjoys travel and the outdoor life that BC has to offer, including soccer, mountain biking, skiing and golf.more info

are members of the Home Care Services team for clients of the Sunshine Coast community. The goal of the OT
and PT is to promote and maintain a client’s functional independence in their home and in their community through a variety of services. Assistance offered includes assessment, treatment, consultation, and teaching of caregivers and family members. Environment adaptations to improve home safety and accessibility, equipment recommendation and prescription, and assessment of activities of daily living are all areas addressed by Occupational Therapy. Physiotherapy addresses the physical and mobility aspects of the clients, i.e., gait, transfers, range of motion, strength and balance. Treatment may include exercise prescription, the selection of walking aids, and fall prevention strategies.more info
